Touching down in Europe

After a LOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG flight to Brussels (we had a 20 hour lay over in Philly due to bad weather), we met my Aunt at the airport (she picked us up). From there we went into the city and drove around looking at all the old buildings. I actually thought that Brussels was a little bit boring (except for the Statute of the peeing dog which I found pretty funny).

After a long time of wrong turns and dead ends we found our way out of the cobblestone streets of Brussels and went on to Brugge (still in Belguim). Brugge was a lot smaller than Brussels, but I liked it more. On the way to Brugge I got a nice hour and a half nap in the back of the rental car. Once we were there we took a walk with the family and my Aunt's dog, Twiga....got some ice cream and a much needed coke.

After the break, we took Twiga back to the car and went on a boat ride through the canals that are all around the city. We then went around looking at the stores (my family likes to shop WAY too much). After looking around at the shops for a while we got street waffles that were really good (you should always eat waffles when in Belgium).

We ate some pizza for dinner and headed back to my Aunt's house in the Netherlands and I finally got to GO TO SLEEP!!!!
